Our grass fed cattle has been raised on naturally-grown grass roaming freely in wide open spaces 365 days a year. Grain fed cattle is typically raised on feedlots and fed corn and soy.
QDoes the grass in New Zealand contain GMO’s?

New Zealand is blessed with vast, wide open spaces, providing our farms with a stress-free place for the cattle to live. The clean air, mild climate and abundant fresh water produces lush, green pastures all year long. Our cattle roam freely and enjoy their natural grass diet, which gives meat a wonderfully natural and delicious flavour.

QIs grass fed beef healthier?

Not only does New Zealand Springvale Grass Fed Beef boast the flavours of nature with subtle notes of the green pastures the meat was raised on, the unique nutritional benefits are second to none.
When compared to grain fed meat, grass fed meat is lower in total fat, has a healthier omega 3 to omega 6 ratio and more vitamin A and E content. Lean New Zealand grass fed beef and lamb is high in protein, B vitamins, zinc, iron and vitamin D, while relatively low in calories, fat and cholesterol. The protein in beef and lamb contains a complete range of amino acids – the building blocks for growth.

Not at this time. Our cattle is grass fed and pastured raised in New Zealand, and all meat exported from New Zealand is free of added hormones.

When delivering New Zealand Springvale Grass Fed beef to Canada, the most direct route is taken. Typically, this is by sea on slow steam vessels that reduce fuel consumption by up to 40%. During transit, the strictest food safety regulations are upheld at all times, including climate-controlled storage that allows the meat to age perfectly and ensures the best quality upon arrival.
QIs New Zealand Springvale Grass Fed beef antibiotic free?

No antibiotics are ever administered in feed of our cattle. We are happy to confirm that this statement – raised without antibiotics – will be added to all of our packaging by end of this summer!
